Formation
Forming Hearts. Building Minds. Preparing Servants.
Through prayer, study, community life, and practical formation, we prepare the next generation of priests and religious brothers to serve God and His people.
Formation at the Domus Dei Clerical Society of Apostolic Life seeks to prepare men to follow Christ with a generous heart and to serve the Church with faith, wisdom, humility, and practical skills.
Our formation is centered on the four pillars of priestly formation.

HUMAN FORMATION
FORMING THE PERSON
Develop maturity, discipline, responsibility, character, emotional balance, leadership, and the ability to live and work well with others.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION
GROWING IN HOLINESS
Through daily prayer, the Holy Eucharist, Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, spiritual direction, meditation, and devotion, members grow in their relationship with Christ.

INTELLECTUAL FORMATION
SEEKING TRUTH
Members receive a solid education in Sacred Scripture, Catholic theology, philosophy, Church teaching, and other studies necessary for faithful service to the Church.

PASTORAL FORMATION
LEARNING TO SERVE
Through parish ministry, evangelization, catechesis, family ministry, youth ministry, liturgical service, and service to the poor, members learn to bring the Gospel to God’s people.

A Journey of Discernment
Every vocation is a journey of listening, prayer, formation, and generous response to God’s call.
If you feel called to serve Christ and His Church as a priest or religious brother, we invite you to learn more about our community and the journey of formation.
As part of their journey of formation and consecrated life, members are formed to live the three evangelical counsels in imitation of Jesus Christ:
THE EVANGELICAL COUNSELS

CHASTITY
A HEART GIVEN TO GOD
An undivided heart given entirely to God, expressed through a life of celibacy, purity, self-discipline, and loving service to others.

POVERTY
GOD OUR TRUE TREASURE
Trusting in God as our true treasure and learning to live simply, responsibly, and generously, sharing our gifts and possessions in service to the community and the Church.

OBEDIENCE
SEEKING THE WILL OF GOD
Following the example of Christ, who came to do the will of the Father. Members learn to listen, discern, and generously respond to God's will through obedience to legitimate authority and the teachings of the Church.
Through formation, members gradually learn to understand and live the evangelical counsels—not merely as rules, but as a path of freedom, love, and complete self-giving to God and His people.
Formed for Life and Service
In addition to spiritual, intellectual, human, and pastoral formation, members are encouraged to develop practical skills that help them serve the Church and community effectively in daily life.
